Excellent product, excellent customer service and very fast delivery. I will say, however, that I find the headhand too hot at the moment. This can't really be helped. But if you tend to run hot or get hot flushes, consider this.
We couldn't believe how fast the electric blankets got here from Sydney. Just 3 days by Australia post to Toowoomba. The products have all the features we wanted as well.
They were very helpful when placing an NDIS order and fast.
Found the website easy to use and order what I needed Delivery was very quick Will be ordering again
Was very keen to try this but so hard to as hubby not like it. Tried with earplugs but the cable was annoying
Have been travelling with the pillow and highly recommend
I was unsure how this product would work but have been amazed at the change in my breathing/sleeping pattern. So thank you Sleep Solutions I am thrilled with this air purifier and the speed in which it was delivered to me.
Great service and quick delivery. Range of Mack's earplugs you can't get in stores here. The ultra soft ones are the winner.
Downia, formerly known as Australian Feather Mills, is a heritage-rich brand that has been synonymous with premium sleep comfort for over a century. Founded in 1911 in Glebe, Sydney, the company began as a pioneer in the processing of feather and down, eventually growing into one of the leading suppliers of bedroom furnishings in the Asia-Pacific region. Downia is best known for its extensive range of high-quality quilts (doonas), pillows, and mattress toppers, which cater to every sleep preference—from the lightweight cool of summer cottons to the indulgent warmth of Hungarian Goose Down.
The brand has successfully bridged the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern hygiene standards, ensuring that their natural products are as clean and safe as they are comfortable. Whether it is a "Hotel Collection" pillow or a luxury duvet, Downia products are a staple in major department stores and hotels, celebrated for their loft, durability, and superior thermal performance.
Downia’s mission is to deliver "The Perfect Sleep" by combining the finest natural resources with rigorous quality control. They envision a world where luxury bedding is not compromised by ethical or health concerns, maintaining a strict "No Live Plucking" policy to ensure animal welfare. Innovation is the heartbeat of Downia’s operations, most notably seen in their proprietary Puresan™ cleaning process.
This advanced washing and rinsing system removes dust, bacteria, and allergens from the feather and down, making their products suitable even for asthma sufferers. Furthermore, Downia utilizes baffle-box and sewn-through cassette construction in their quilts, a structural innovation that locks filling into individual squares to prevent shifting and cold spots, ensuring consistent warmth all night long.
Sleep Solutions is NDIS Registered and Approved
Yes, Downia has deep Australian roots. It was established in Sydney in 1911 as Australian Feather Mills (AFM). While they have expanded their manufacturing operations globally (including a major facility in Thailand known as Siam Feather Products), the brand remains Australian-owned and designs its products specifically to suit the Australian climate and market standards.
Puresan™ is Downia’s specialized hygiene treatment. Before any feather or down is put into a quilt or pillow, it undergoes this rigorous washing, rinsing, and drying cycle. The process removes dust, dander, and organic debris, rendering the filling highly clean and hypoallergenic. This is why Downia products often carry the "Asthma & Allergy Friendly" endorsement.
Yes, most Downia quilts are fully machine washable. However, due to their size and the weight of wet feathers, it is highly recommended to use a large commercial washing machine (like those found at a laundromat) rather than a standard home top-loader. Always use a gentle cycle with a mild, wool-friendly detergent and ensure the quilt is dried completely to prevent mildew.
The main difference lies in the size of the down cluster. Goose down clusters are generally larger and stronger than duck down, meaning they trap more air and provide higher insulation (warmth) with less weight. Duck down is still an excellent insulator but is typically heavier than goose down to achieve the same warmth rating.
Absolutely. Thanks to the Puresan™ cleaning process and the use of high-thread-count "down-proof" cotton casings, Downia products are impenetrable to dust mites. Many of their items are endorsed by the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation, making them a safe choice for those with respiratory sensitivities who still want the luxury of natural bedding.
