Easy to order quick delivery and very happy with product.
Item deliverd fast
Excellent product, excellent customer service and very fast delivery. I will say, however, that I find the headhand too hot at the moment. This can't really be helped. But if you tend to run hot or get hot flushes, consider this.
We couldn't believe how fast the electric blankets got here from Sydney. Just 3 days by Australia post to Toowoomba. The products have all the features we wanted as well.
They were very helpful when placing an NDIS order and fast.
Found the website easy to use and order what I needed Delivery was very quick Will be ordering again
Was very keen to try this but so hard to as hubby not like it. Tried with earplugs but the cable was annoying
Have been travelling with the pillow and highly recommend
Headphones for sleeping are what you have been searching for but didn't know existed. Sleep headphones are flat speakers that lie against your ear within a headband but are really thin and comfortable so that you can't feel them. No more painful earbuds/earphones that dig into your ears when sleeping on your side
We sell two key brands:
Sleep Solutions is NDIS Registered and Approved
Everything you need to know to choose the right sleep headphones — from types and comfort to charging and use cases.
Sleep headphones are ultra-thin speakers embedded inside a soft, washable headband. Unlike standard earbuds or over-ear headphones — which dig into the ear, create pressure points, or fall out overnight — sleep headphones sit flat against the ear and stay in position through all sleeping positions, including side sleeping. They connect to a phone or tablet via Bluetooth or a 3.5 mm cord, and are used to listen to music, white noise, meditation, audiobooks, or podcasts while falling asleep.
SleepPhones come in four models. Select a type to see full details.
The simplest and most affordable option. A standard 3.5 mm plug connects to any phone, tablet, or media player — no charging required. The 120 cm cord is long enough to reach a bedside table without tangling. Ideal for people who want reliable, unlimited play time and no battery to worry about.
Works with any device that has a headphone jack or 3.5 mm adapter. Play time is truly unlimited. No pairing, no setup — just plug in and sleep.
Eliminates the cord entirely. Pairs with any Bluetooth device and includes built-in volume and play/pause controls on the headband. The Bluetooth module is removable for charging via USB cable. Freedom from cables makes this the most popular option for bed use.
Battery life is typically 20 hours from a full charge — enough for a full night. The Bluetooth module slides out through a hook-and-loop opening for easy charging and washing of the headband.
The same Bluetooth sleep headphones, but with wireless induction charging. Simply drape the headband over the included charging base — no cable to find, no module to remove. This is a significant advantage for nightly users: the headphones charge passively on the nightstand between uses.
The charging base can be wall-mounted or placed on a bedside table. For anyone using sleep headphones every night, this convenience alone often justifies the upgrade over standard wireless.
Why induction charging matters: With standard wireless models, the Bluetooth module must be removed and connected to a USB cable nightly — a friction point that often leads to forgetting to charge. The Effortless model solves this: drape and done. Nothing to unplug or remove. Always ready for the next night.
Designed for watching TV in bed without disturbing a partner. The ultra-thin flat speakers sit inside the soft headband and deliver clear audio directly to your ears — no earbuds, no over-ear pressure, no sound leaking to the person beside you.
The 3.5 mm cord connects to your TV, soundbar headphone output, or media device. No battery to charge, unlimited listening time. Perfect for late-night viewing, falling asleep to TV, or anyone who shares a bedroom.

Sleep headphones were designed specifically to solve the side-sleeper problem.
Standard earbuds and on-ear headphones press painfully into the ear when lying on one side. SleepPhones solve this with ultra-thin, fabric-covered speakers that have no rigid housing — no protruding earbud, no pressure point. The speakers sit inside the headband and can be repositioned to align precisely over each ear regardless of head size or shape.
The flat speaker discs are the thinnest available — less than 5 mm — meaning zero protrusion even when lying on your side. No rigid housing, no earbud to press into the ear canal.
Speakers are not fixed — they slide freely within the headband to align with your ears. Works for all head sizes and shapes, and every sleeping position.
SheepCloud Fleece — warm, soft, ideal for cooler conditions. SheepCloud Breeze — lightweight, breathable, suited for warm sleepers and Australia's warmer months.
The headband can be pulled down over the eyes to block light — useful for shift workers, travelling, or anyone sensitive to morning light. No separate eye mask needed.
Sleep headphones work by masking sound, not cancelling it. For sleep, this approach is often more practical.
Sleep headphones do not include active noise cancellation (ANC) technology. Instead they work by masking unwanted sound — playing audio that the brain focuses on instead of environmental noise. This is a fundamentally different approach, and for sleep purposes, often more effective.
Select a use case to see how sleep headphones help.
Falling Asleep Faster
Play white noise, rain sounds, sleep music, or guided meditation at low volume. The brain focuses on the audio instead of environmental noise — or intrusive thoughts — helping you drift off faster. Most phone apps include a sleep timer so audio stops after a set period.
Research consistently shows that auditory stimulation at bedtime can reduce sleep onset latency. The soft headband keeps audio private and comfortable for the full duration needed to fall asleep.
Masking a Snoring Partner
A snoring partner is the most common reason people buy sleep headphones. Playing continuous white noise or nature sounds through the headband effectively masks moderate snoring without disturbing your partner.
For heavy snoring, pairing sleep headphones with earplugs provides additional passive attenuation — the earplugs reduce overall volume, and the audio in the headband fills in the rest. It's a practical two-step solution that many partners find life-changing.
Travel & Flights
Lightweight and completely flat, sleep headphones pack easily into a carry-on or handbag without taking up space. The SleepPhones Telly is also a great option for watching TV in bed — delivering audio directly to your ears without disturbing a partner.
The corded Classic and SleepPhones Telly both connect to any 3.5 mm port, including inflight entertainment systems. The wireless models work on Bluetooth throughout the cabin.
Audiobooks & Podcasts
Listen in bed without disturbing a partner. The low volume and personal delivery mean audio is only audible to the wearer. Full-frequency speakers provide clear voice reproduction for spoken-word content — significantly better than a phone speaker or earbuds for extended listening.
The headband stays put through all sleeping positions, so you don't need to worry about earbuds falling out as you drift off mid-chapter.
Meditation & Relaxation
Binaural beats, guided breathing, body scans, and sleep-specific relaxation programmes are all popular uses. The comfortable headband encourages extended wear without fatigue, and the stereo separation required for binaural beats is maintained by the dual-speaker design.
Because the headband can also cover the eyes, it creates a complete sensory reduction environment — ideal for pre-sleep meditation and wind-down routines.
Tinnitus Management
Playing low-level white noise or nature sounds through sleep headphones can help mask tinnitus symptoms at bedtime — the time when tinnitus is often most noticeable due to the absence of daytime background noise.
Unlike earbuds, the headband is comfortable for extended wear and won't cause ear canal irritation over a long night. Many tinnitus sufferers find that a consistent low-volume masking sound allows them to fall asleep significantly faster.

Sleep headphones can be a great tool for those who benefit from listening to music, white noise, or calming sounds as they fall asleep. These specialised headphones are designed to be comfortable to wear even when you're lying down or rolling over in your sleep. Here are some reasons why they can be good:
While sleep headphones can be beneficial, they aren't the best choice for everyone. Some people might find them uncomfortable or hot to wear all night. Others might prefer a completely quiet environment for sleep. If you're considering sleep headphones, look for models that offer a comfortable fit, good sound quality, and easy cleaning. It may take some trial and error to find the right pair, but many people find that sleep headphones can significantly improve their sleep quality and make bedtime a more relaxing experience.
While it is possible to wear headphones while sleeping, there are several factors to consider for your comfort and safety. Traditional over-ear or in-ear headphones may not be suitable due to their bulk or design, potentially causing discomfort or ear pain. Sleep headphones, designed specifically for sleep, are generally a more comfortable and safe alternative. Here's why:
However, while sleep headphones are generally considered safe, they're not without potential downsides. For instance, some people may find them hot or restrictive, leading to discomfort or disrupted sleep. Furthermore, continuous exposure to sound can potentially interfere with the quality of your sleep, depending on the type of sounds you're listening to. Also, it's important to maintain good ear hygiene and clean your sleep headphones regularly to prevent potential ear infections. If you choose to use sleep headphones, it's recommended to do so responsibly, keeping the volume at safe levels and ensuring they contribute positively to your sleep routine rather than causing disruptions.
Yes — this is what they're designed for. The speakers are ultra-thin and flat, with no rigid housing or protruding earbud. They sit inside a soft headband and create no pressure points when lying on either side. Speakers can be repositioned to align precisely with each ear.
SleepPhones Wireless and Effortless models provide 10+ hours per charge — enough for a full night. The SleepPhones Classic and Travel Easy Combo require no battery at all. Replacement Bluetooth modules are available if the battery degrades over time.
SheepCloud Fleece is soft and warm — suitable for cooler climates and winter use. SheepCloud Breeze is lightweight and breathable — suited for warm sleepers and Australia's summer months. Both are machine washable and available as replacement headbands.
No — they work by masking unwanted sound, not cancelling it. Playing audio gives the brain something to focus on instead of snoring, traffic, or other noise. For sleep, this approach is generally more practical than ANC: no bulky hardware, no processing hiss, no heavy battery drain.
Yes. The speakers and Bluetooth module are removable through a hook-and-loop opening at the back of the headband. Once removed, the headband is machine washable. Replacement headbands are also available in both Fleece and Breeze fabrics.
Yes. All SleepPhones models use two separate speakers — one over each ear — which maintains the stereo separation required for binaural beats to work. Mono Bluetooth or single-earbud setups do not work with binaural beats; SleepPhones do.
