About Good Sleep Co

Good Sleep Co. is an innovative Australian health-tech company dedicated to tackling two of the most common disruptors of rest: snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Unlike traditional bedding brands that focus on comfort, Good Sleep Co. focuses on clinical solutions, bridging the gap between expensive hospital treatments and accessible retail products. The brand is best known for its Hushd range of oral appliances—Mandibular Advancement Devices (MADs)—which are designed to gently hold the jaw forward during sleep to keep airways open..

From their "boil-and-bite" entry-level mouthpieces to their professional custom-fit devices, Good Sleep Co. empowers individuals to manage their sleep health from the comfort of their own home. Their products are widely recognized for being a comfortable, non-invasive alternative to CPAP machines for mild-to-moderate apnea sufferers

Mission, Vision & Innovation

Good Sleep Co.’s bold mission is to "Add 1 million years to patients' lives" over the next five years. They operate on the vision that treating sleep disordered breathing should be simple, accessible, and effective. Innovation is the engine of this vision, specifically through their "Sleep Care Pathway." Unlike competitors who sell standalone products, Good Sleep Co. integrates physical devices with digital health.

They have developed the SleepCare App, which pairs with their devices to monitor usage and sleep quality. Furthermore, they innovated the "Test, Trial, Treat" model: allowing customers to start with an affordable Good Sleep Test (home sleep study) and a temporary Hushd mouthpiece to prove effectiveness before investing in a permanent, custom-made Hushd Pro device.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Hushd mouthpiece stop snoring?

The Hushd device is a Mandibular Advancement Device (MAD). It works by physically holding your lower jaw (mandible) in a slightly forward position while you sleep. This forward position tightens the soft tissues and muscles of the upper airway, preventing them from collapsing and vibrating (which causes the sound of snoring) and ensuring a clear path for air to flow.

What is the difference between Hushd and Hushd Pro?

Hushd is a "boil-and-bite" device available directly to customers. It is a temporary, adjustable thermoplastic device that you mold to your teeth at home using hot water. It is ideal for testing if oral appliance therapy works for you. Hushd Pro is a medical-grade, permanent solution. It is custom-made in a lab using 3D digital impressions of your teeth (scanned by a dentist) for a perfect, slimline fit and superior durability.

Is the Hushd mouthpiece comfortable to wear?

While any oral appliance takes a few nights to get used to, the Hushd is designed for maximum comfort compared to generic pharmacy guards. It features a "dual-layer" design with a soft inner liner for the teeth and a durable outer shell. Crucially, it is adjustable, allowing you to advance the jaw in 1mm increments so you can find the "sweet spot" that stops snoring without over-stretching your jaw muscles.

What is the Good Sleep Test?

The Good Sleep Test is a medical-grade home sleep test (HST) that allows you to diagnose sleep apnea without sleeping in a hospital lab. You receive a small device in the mail, wear it for one night in your own bed, and return it. Sleep scientists analyze the data to provide a clinical report on your sleep quality and apnea severity (AHI score).

Can I use the Hushd mouthpiece if I wear dentures?

Generally, no. Mandibular Advancement Devices require strong, healthy teeth to anchor against in order to hold the jaw forward. If you have full dentures or significant dental issues, you should consult your dentist before using any oral appliance, as the pressure could cause damage or discomfort.
