What is the difference between "Original Strength" and "Black Out"?
This is the most common question.
- Original Strength: Dims approximately 50-80% of the light. This is perfect if you still need to see if a device is on (e.g., a router or baby monitor) but want to stop the light from casting a glow across the room.
- Black Out: Blocks 100% of the light. This is ideal for devices where you don't need to see the indicator at all (e.g., a bright power strip switch) or for people who require absolute pitch darkness to sleep.
Will LightDims leave a sticky residue on my electronics?
No. LightDims are designed with a special low-tack, residue-free adhesive. They are easy to apply and can be peeled off cleanly at any time, even after being attached for months or years. This makes them safe to use on rented equipment (like ISP modems) or expensive TVs.
Do they work on touchscreens?
Yes, LightDims (specifically the Original Strength) are thin enough that they typically do not interfere with the sensitivity of capacitive touch buttons or screens. Can I cut them to size?
