I bought this mainly to use in the bedroom at night. It does help with sinus stuffiness in the morning and it does increase the humidity in the room. However it is quite noisy, the sleep setting didn't alter the noise level at all, and the blue light glows very brightly. I couldn't sleep with machine running.

I've had a serious problem with my eyes being very dry in the evenings and the humidifier has stopped that altogether. It's quiet, efficient and well worth the investment. It's simple to fill, I love the current humidity reading and the ability to set your desired humidity level and it's great that it turns off if the water tank is empty. (Posted on 17/6/19 )

This machine seems to be of good quality. It has helped with dry nasal passage and eyes. The instructions could be more informative, took me a while with trial and error to keep the machine going for more than thirty seconds. Unfortunate that you have to unplug and empty the base when filling the tank. I set the mist on low which I find to be sufficient and at this setting the tank lasts all night for three nights. I have Congestive Heart Failure and have had a lot of trouble breathing at night and also having coughing fits. Since I started using the IonMax ION 90 I have had a much easier time with breathing at night and also no coughing fits. I had done a bit of research online and had learnt that an Ultrasonic Humidifier can be of benefit to people who have Congestive Heart Failure.

I thought that this unit might be a bit expensive, however after using it for a number of weeks I am totally convinced that it is worth the money. The unit is pretty easy to use. I also like the fact that it can heat in Winter and also cool in Summer. The unit has plenty of useful features and is very quite at night. This enables you to have a more restful sleep. I originally bought what I thought was the best cause I was sick of waking every morning with such a swollen dry mouth and throat that I could barely swallow my first drink.
The Ion90 worked fabulously to keep my tiny bedroom at 70% humidity just during two winters and only through the driest patches. It also heated my room to a toasty temp so I didn't require heating of any kind - drops below minus where I am.

But I go to use my trusty humidifier this winter as the humidity starts to drop and I find the minute I turn it on, it jumps up saying the room is 80%. I know for a fact that is false - the wall gauge the first night said it was actually 60%. The second night the wall one said 70%.
No matter what, the Ion90 says it's 80% and therefore won't mist.

My guess is, the thermostat is buggered. Pretty poor getting roughly 6-8 months out of $299 machine. Disappointed.

My only other dislike was the bright blue lighting it put off - even in sleep mode. I had to put a book up in front of the screen cause there's no way I can sleep through the night with a 'light on'. And they say blue lights are the most disturbing to our sleep.....lol.

This humidifier is so much better than any others we have tried. The production of mist rather than steam is much more comfortable. Compared to others it is extremely quiet and is a great design. A full tank of water lasts ages and is easy to refill. There is great control over humidity and it can be tailored to what you need. The LED lighting is bright and that is something that should be able to be turned off or dimmed substantially, if that is at all possible. Fortunately, it doesn't keep us awake at night, but I can understand that it could be a problem at night. Over all though, money very well spent. (Posted on 20/5/19 )

We have had the product for 3 weeks. The rooms surely do feel a lot more humid. The only area of improvement for the product would be to have the ability to dim the UV blue light of a night time as its quite bright where I have to put a cloth over the unit.

Works well, It took a week or so to raise the humidity in the house from 50 to 75%. But it is now maintaining the humidity level very well. The timber floors and myself think it is great. (Posted on 9/9/18 )

This product helps dry eyes. Stopped coughing and stuffy nose so all good.
Well worth it and no problem with the product.
I made it 4 stars as I can't lift it when full of water....but I have an injury. Great machine
This unit is good value for money, it does a great job and helps with overall health.
The bright lights on the panel are no issue .. .a piece of cardboard will do. And the noise is nothing.
Try ear plugs or go to another planet.

Read the reviews and whilst some said the screen was bright and that it was a bit noisy, others said it was ok. Bought it and yes, the screen is way too bright even on sleep mode and it is noisy. Not the running noise, the gurgling as the air bubbles come up through the tank (think water cooler in the office). Also not sure about the accuracy of the humidity sensor, it starts at 44% every day and only ever gets to 50% no matter what setting or climate conditions, seems a bit odd. I do seem to feel better when I wake up if I haven’t shut it down mid-night due to noise/light. (Posted on 3/9/18 )

Great product, easy to use and does help improve air quality as my sinus problems have greatly improved. Only downside is the light when using at night- keeps me awake.

The product does a good job of humidifying. I have several issues with it.
It is difficult to pull apart when full and not spill water.
The lights are ridiculously bright even in dim mode.
It is noisy.

This product arrived quickly in good condition and was easy to get started. I'm not bothered by the low level noises - but it does glow in my dark bedroom!

We live in a climate that can sometimes be very dry so I bought this to keep my music room at the correct humidity to protect my expensive grand piano. Excellent humidifier my toddler suffers from blocked and stuffy noses. Tried a cheap alternative which produced a lot of calcium build up and left her bedroom walls wet.

I have been suffering from allergies including very dry eyes and throat and this product has been great. We live on a mountain and the air is very dry. This product is one of the best things I have ever bought. I have suffered from sinus/congestion problems for YEARS. From the first night, my daily congestion sufferance disappeared. The mist options are great (I prefer warm) and it is great design. I used it at home for a week but now it sits in my office at work where I spend the majority of my day. Since my office has dry air, the Ionmax ION 90 is nothing short of sensational. I am now contemplating on whether or not to buy another one for home. I highly recommend this product. I've just bought this model and it is a premium product that delivers in a premium way.

The build and finish is excellent with quality control buttons and LED. Instructions are clear and simple.

The humistat feature is brilliant as it regulates the flow according to room condition rather than just pump it out as cheaper units do.

Bought it to take on ski trips rather than for Sydney living but quite impressed with the overnight test run.

Temperature is currently 6-16 degrees where I live so gets cold overnight and we have no central heating. I woke up with no congestion and no crusty eyes compared with the past fortnight.

This humidifier has greatly improved my health. The relative humidity in my room was under 25%. With ionmax I have adjusted it to 55%. I used to wake up with an extremely sore throat. I did not realise that this was due to the dry air in my room. Since I have been using the humidifier this problem has completely disappeared. Also I do not wake up at night as often as I used to.
Also my plants have shown better growth and the leaves no longer have the brown edges.
I would highly recommend this product for improving the air quality in a home.
