Particle Progressive three-stage filter technology

Air is drawn into the air purifier at the rear, passes through the filter and leaves through the exhaust grill at the top. Filtered air leaving the exhaust grill is charged with negative ions.

The ions collide with and charge airborne particles in the room. When air is drawn into the unit again, the HEPASilent filter traps the charged particles

Traps particles for good

The gradient structure of Blueair filters traps particles of all sizes while maintaining maximum airflow. It resists clogging and won't re-release particles back into the air, even when the filter is heavily loaded.

Blueair filter media is ultrasonically bonded to prevent filter fibers and other particles from being added back into your environment. The only thing that comes out of our filters is clean air!

Activated carbon captures gases and odors

Blueair SmokeStop filters have a highly porous structure made of activated carbon to trap gases and odors.

Naturally Antibacterial

The naturally antibacterial polypropylene fibers in Blueair filters prevent bacteria and mold growth, so our filters never put bacteria and mold back into the air.

Which Blueair model is right for me?

All Blueair Air Purifiers in the range clean to the same standard, so one model is not better than the other. When selecting a Blueair model you do so based on the rated room size capacity and the features it has (eg Manual Control, Automatic, Wifi etc

The Blueair Range is broken down into 3 Series:

  • 200 Series - 205

    - suitable for smaller rooms or bedrooms

  • 400 Series - 480i

    - suitable for lounge rooms or larger rooms

  • 600 Series - 680i

    - suitable for larger open plan living spaces

What does "True HEPA" Mean?

To conform to the HEPA standard an air purifier and their filters need to capture up to 99.97 percent of particles as small as 0.3 microns.

The "True" is just a marketing term some manufacturers use - if a filter conforms to HEPA standard it is deemed a "True" HEPA filter.

Blueair filters not only meet the HEPA standard, but exceed it. Blueair filters clean down to a much smaller 0.1 particle vs 0.3 microns minimum HEPA standard.

Blueair Smoke Box Test

SmokeStop removes gaseous pollutants such as tobacco smoke, carbon monoxide, ethylene oxide, ozone and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) including household paints and other chemicals

Quiet and reassuring
With the three fan speeds you can really get things moving at the top speed, but then wind back to the mid or low speed, both of which are quiet, but with the lowest speed there is no noticeable noise at all. It was very easy to set up with the wi-fi app and the app allowed me to set a time for the main light to go off and come back on, so no problems at night with light in the room. I haven't had a problem with the control button lights under the cover, but if it becomes a problem I will use a sticker. The change in air quality is noticeable, particularly now in Spring with high pollen levels. The unit is easy to carry around so I can move it from room to room as needed. I got both the HEPA and carbon filters and I feel confident now that if we have another smoke episode as we did with the recent bushfires it won't be an issue inside with the carbon filter. Very happy with this product. (Posted on )

Makes a difference!
We've been using this purifier for a few weeks now in our bedroom, we've really noticed a positive difference in the quality of the air. The unit is larger than I expected however it looks nice, so we're happy about the aesthetic of our room. The wifi control setup was quick and easy via the Blueair app, which is a nice to have however it's not a must as you can operate/control the device with the button on the unit.
Opportunity for improvement: While the app allows you to dim the status (on/off) indicator, it would be nice if it also allowed the dimming of the control buttons. (Posted on )

Purification works really well, needs hacks to keep a dark room
Really good purifier! Compact, quiet, the wifi management is handy.
Only complaint is that I can't get the lights to turn off, and the lid over the button controls doesn't keep all the light from the buttons from shining out.
I've hacked mine by adding a blob of blu-tac over the front light, and adding duct tape strips over the inside of the gaps in the hinges to block the beams of blue light that shine out, which is not good for keeping a dark room for sleeping.
Sleep Solutions - Have a look at our Light Dims product - which are semi transparent stickers which allow you filter out the amount of light transmitted (Posted on )
