Ellia is the premium aromatherapy brand born from the wellness experts at HoMedics, dedicated to transforming your home into a sanctuary of stress relief and mental clarity. Moving beyond the purely functional, Ellia distinguishes itself with "design-forward" ultrasonic diffusers crafted from noble materials like ceramic, hand-blown glass, and responsibly sourced wood, ensuring they serve as beautiful decor pieces even when not in use.

The brand pairs this aesthetic focus with a commitment to therapeutic purity, offering a vast library of 100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils and signature blends designed to help you "Rise, Rest, and Reflect." Whether it is the Gather diffuser with its integrated sound library or the portable Move for travel, Ellia combines the ancient art of aromatherapy with modern technology to soothe the senses and balance the mind.

Mission, Vision & Innovation

Ellia’s mission is to empower individuals to take charge of their wellness through the power of scent, operating on the belief that a calm environment is the foundation of a healthy life. Their vision is to reduce the reliance on synthetic fragrances by making natural, plant-based aromatherapy accessible and beautiful. Innovation is central to the Ellia experience, particularly in their

Ultrasonic Technology, which uses high-frequency vibrations to convert water and oil into a fine, cool mist without heat, preserving the delicate chemical structure of the essential oils. Furthermore, Ellia innovates in user experience by integrating Sound Therapy into many of their diffusers, allowing users to layer soothing tracks—like crashing waves or meditative music—over their scent experience for complete sensory immersion.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does an Ellia ultrasonic diffuser work?

Ellia diffusers use ultrasonic technology, which involves a small ceramic disc at the bottom of the water reservoir that vibrates at an extremely high frequency. These vibrations break down the water and essential oil into microscopic particles, creating a fine, cool mist that is released into the air. Because no heat is used, the therapeutic properties of the essential oils remain intact.

Are Ellia essential oils 100% pure?

Yes. Ellia takes great pride in sourcing. Their single notes (like Lavender, Peppermint, and Lemon) are 100% pure, therapeutic-grade oils sourced from a global network of farmers where the plants thrive best. They are rigorously tested for purity and bottled in violet glass, which protects the oil from damaging UV light to extend its shelf life and potency.

Is it safe to use essential oils around pets?

Care must be taken when using aromatherapy around pets, as their sense of smell is much stronger than humans, and some oils can be toxic to them (especially cats and dogs). Oils like Tea Tree, Peppermint, and Eucalyptus can be harmful if diffused heavily or ingested by pets. It is recommended to diffuse in well-ventilated areas where the pet can leave the room, and always consult a vet if you are unsure about a specific oil.

How do I clean my Ellia diffuser?

To prevent oil buildup and ensure the mist remains strong, it is recommended to clean your diffuser every 2 weeks. You can do this by emptying the water, wiping the reservoir with a soft damp cloth, or running a cycle with a mixture of water and a teaspoon of white vinegar to break down any residue. Never submerge the base in water.

Can I use tap water in my Ellia diffuser?

Yes, you can use clean, cool tap water. However, if you live in an area with "hard water" (high mineral content), it may cause mineral buildup (scale) on the ceramic disc over time. In this case, using distilled or filtered water is recommended to prolong the life of the unit and reduce cleaning frequency.
