The replacement Titanium Oxide (TiO2) filter helps the Ionmax ION390 Air Purifier to remove odours, harmful gases and VOCs.
- The filter is coated with Titanium Oxide, which reacts with UV rays to create ions that aggressively combine with other elements in the air, including bacteria and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).
- VOCs include harmful pollutants such as ammonia, formaldehyde, and other chemicals commonly released by building materials and household cleaners.
- Once bound together, a chemical reaction takes place and the harmful pollutants are broken down into harmless carbon dioxide and water molecules, making the air cleaner and more purified.
The manufacturer recommends that you replace the filter every 6 months (based on usage).
However, the ION 390 features a sensor which automatically detects when the filter needs replacing.
