The replacement filter set for the Ionmax ION450 Breeze air purifier includes:

  • 1 x True HEPA Filter: traps allergens and airborne contaminants down to 0.3 microns in size at a rate of 99.97%. These allergens include lung damaging dust, mould spores, plant spores pet dander and pollen.
  • 1 x Activated Carbon Filter: neutralises odours and other Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) such as formaldehyde, benzene and other harmful fumes emitted by household products.

Replacing the filters:

The built-in timer for the filter replacement indicator is 4320 hours. The HEPA filter and the Activated Carbon filter have a similar lifetime. Therefore they have to be replaced every 6 months (if used 24 hours daily) or 12 months (if used 12 hours daily)

Maintenance:

  • Every 3 months remove the HEPA filter and the Activated Carbon filter from the unit and dry them under direct sunlight. Use a vacuum cleaner or soft brush to remove dust buildup on the filters. This will help to extend the life of the filters and maintain their performance.
  • The HEPA filter and the Activated Carbon filter are not washable. They can be use for about 1 year or 6 months if used continuously but their actual life depends on air quality condition and daily maintenance.
