With a luxuriously thick, soft wool pile of 650 grams per square metre and a thick layer of alpaca wool support under the pile fabric, the alpaca and wool underblanket offers you exceptional body support for extra special comfort and a restful night's sleep.

The alpaca wool underblanket comes with a full depth fitted elasticized skirt of 38cm (which stretches up to 52cm) to keep the underblanket securely in place.

Fully reversible for summer with our superfine cotton sateen fabric covering the reverse side. Clever and very practical.

Size Options

The fleece of the alpaca is of an outstanding quality. Unlike sheep's wool, it is very clean and naturally contains no lanolin, so it doesn't require chemical processing. Alpaca fleece is also semi-hollow, giving it a unique, lightweight feel as well as superior thermal performance.

Alpaca fleece in its natural state is allergy-free and luxuriously soft, producing a beautiful handle and drape to bedding products filled with this material. In addition, alpaca fleece is moisture absorbent, which allows bedding to remain warm in the winter, and cool in the summer.

Originally from South America, legend states that alpacas were a gift to the ancient Inca peoples, and the fleece of this prized animal was reserved for the royal family. Today, alpaca fleece is among the rarest and most desired animal fibres in the world.

Alpacas were commercially imported into Australia beginning 30 years ago, and have adapted well to the climate and the geography. The population of these beautiful, intelligent animals in Australia today number approximately 125,000.

Each of our products has a care label sewn onto it which details the recommended care instructions of the product.

PLEASE strictly follow the care instructions to properly clean the product, maintain its quality and performance. Failure to do so can cause the quilt, doona, pillow, underblanket or comfort top to be severely damaged and destroyed. We will not consider or accept any quality guarantee claim unless our care instructions have been followed..

In general, the care instructions that we recommend are regular fluffing up and outside airing on a warm sunny day.

If required your quilt, pillow or underblankets can be dry cleaned, P40. Please talk with your dry cleaner to make sure that they understand what they are cleaning. If you have it dry cleaned, please thoroughly air afterwards.

Do not allow the quilt, doona, pillow or underblanket to become damp or wet.

DO NOT MACHINE WASH ANY OF OUR PRODUCTS - THEY WILL BE PERMANENTLY DAMAGED.
