How does it work?

Breathable

Allow the free circulation of air though the LifeNest mesh fabric and venting channels. This accelerates the evacuation of exhaled CO2 and supplies the baby’s surroundings with fresh air.

Help prevent overheating and reduce sweating by allowing free airflow around the baby

Reduce the risk of suffocation by allowing your baby to breathe freely, even if he or she accidentally rolls over, when the only possible route of breathing is through the netting.

LifeNest Hammock Style Mattress

The hammock is made out of polyester, and the frame is of a high density foam (polyurethane) to provide the structural integrity needed to support your child.

They have been carefully designed to cradle the baby’s head, increasing the contact surface to distribute the pressure evenly.

This helps prevent of positional Plagiocephaly (Flat Head Syndrome), pressure ulcers, re-breathing, sweating, overheating, and hospital-acquired infections. It also improves comfort, sleep quality and phototherapy treatments among newborns.

What age range is the LifeNest suitable for?

Suitable Age Range
0 - 12 Months 12 Months - 3 Years
LifeNest should be used without the insert from birth up to six months of age, or until the time when the baby starts to stand up on his/her own. When the baby starts to stand up on his/her own, then the Lifenest must be used with the Insert to support the netting.

The LifeNest Insert (included) is is made from polyurethane molded foam covered by an impermeable washable fabric.

Use the lifenest without the insert only with children from birth to twelve months old or 25 pounds (13 kg) maximum. always use the lifenest with the insert once your child turns twelve months old and/or over 25lbs (13 kg).

Which LifeNest is right for your baby?

The Lifenest™ standard bassinet range is designed for standard bassinets 76 x 40 x 6cm (760 x 400 x 60 mm). Generally a baby will fit this until about 5-6 months of age.

The Lifenest™ Halo Bassinet range is designed for the Halo Bassinet and won't fit other bassinets. standard bassinets 75 x 46 x 6cm (750 x 460 x 60 mm). Generally a baby will fit this until about 5-6 months of age.

The Lifenest™ cot range is 130 x 68 x 12 cm (1300 x 680 x 120 mm) and fits in most standard cots. It does not require any other mattress, just a cot! Generally a baby will be able to enjoy it for up to 3 years, or up to 22kg .

Use this without the insert for children from birth to 12 months old or 13kg. With the insert once your child turns 12 months old and/or 13kg

Great product but confusing
I can’t find bassinets or cots that will fit the dimensions of these mattresses and they do not offer custom sizing options.

They also do not offer the ability to purchase a mattress protector.. so a big investment to purchase but confusing and conflicting information - I.e on the delivery of the bassinet mattress it indicates it should be 20mm away from sides? As in it should go in a cot then? Confusing, like I said.

In terms of the mattress itself - I have it, but it fits neither of my two bassinets so haven’t been able to yet use it. (Posted on )
