Our custom fit, slim profile SOVA Night Guard is scientifically designed to relieve pain and discomfort of night grinding, leaving you freedom to breathe, talk and drink naturally.
From Flat to Fit In Moments
In the office, or in the home, fitting a custom mouthguard has never been easier. Our Flat2Fit process makes it possible. At 1.6mm thin, the SOVA Aero Night Guard is powered by Diffusix Technology and scientifically designed to protect your teeth from a night of grinding. The non-compressible, perforated materials allow the natural flow of air and saliva to provide an immediate solution to teeth grinding, TMJ and Bruxism.
Talk, Breathe & Drink
The 1.6mm thickness and custom fit combine to ensure that you can talk, breathe and drink with ease, which will ensure a better night's sleep.
The SOVA Aero Night Guard is an adult sized guard for ages 11+ and can also be used with braces. You will need to ask your orthodontist to fit your night guard for you if you are undergoing orthodontic treatment.
What is Bruxism?
Night grinding, also called bruxism, is a condition in which a person grinds or clenches their teeth. Bruxism is one of the most common sleep disorders, with an average 20% of the American adult population suffering from the condition. Most people have a mild form of night grinding at some point in their lives.
If left untreated, bruxism can lead to:
- Headaches
- Neck pain
- Dental damage (wearing of the bite surfaces of the teeth)
- Jaw disorders (pain and limited movement)
- Significant joint pain or Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ)
SOVA Aero Night Guard
The LunaGuard Nighttime Dental Guard is a teeth grinding protector that forms comfortably to your unique bite and provides strong, durable protection against grinding and clenching. It may help stop bruxism and helps you get a good night's sleep.
SOVA Case
Ventilated storage case for nighttime dental mouth guards. Case design protects nighttime mouthguards and keeps them clean and dry. Perforations inhibit the growth of bacteria during storage.
How can the SOVA night guard help?
Designed to withstand more impact than a conventional mouthguard, SOVA's scientifically engineered crumple zones prevent residual force of impact from traveling to your teeth. When a SOVA night guard is properly fitted, perforations oscillate on impact, dissipating grinding forces and guiding those forces into the crumple zones.
Diffusix Technology
Diffusix™ technology absorbs and diffuses the impact forces of grinding and cleanching throughout the entire guard.
Remoldable

Fitting Instructions
What you will need:
- Bowl, ceramic or glass
- Hot, but not boiling water (160° F/71° C)
- Fork or similar utensil
- Mirror
1. Wash your hands and the material with mild soap and water.
2. Heat enough water to submerge the dental guard to 160°F (71°C) (hot, but not boiling or scalding water) on the stove top or in a microwave oven. Immerse the dental guard until the material turns clear. Once it turns clear, it is soft and pliable and ready for fitting. Lift the guard with a fork.
3. Hold the soft material as shown in the picture. DO NOT LET IT FOLD!
4. Bite down gently on the solid front bar then press the tongue against the material to hold it in place.
5. Use a mirror. Mold it against the front of the teeth with your fingertips and up on the sides to the gum line to create the shield. Make sure most of the material is on the outside of the teeth. The material will not extend to the gum line.
6. Close the lips over the night guard and gently create suction until the material has hardened. This will ensure a snug fit within a minute or so. If you are not satisfied with the result just slip the night guard back in the water, let it soften and straighten out and then start over.
7. Unhappy with your fit? NO PROBLEM! Every SOVA Night Guard is remoldable up to 20 times. Simply place your formed SOVA Night Guard back in the hot water, let it soften and straighten out, and there you go! Time for Round 2.
Note: SOVA Night Guards can be used on the bottom jaw or both top/bottom at the same time if deemed necessary. Some adult customers may find the SOVA Junior a better fit for their bottom jaw as it is smaller; particularly if they have a narrow jawline.

About SOVA
Ours begins in the operating room, where Dr. Jan Akervall invented SOVA nightguards. Dr. Akervall struggled with the lacklustre, poor quality mouthguards that were provided to ENT surgeons in the operating rooms, so he set out to develop a guard that was thin, protective and durable enough to withstand impact with heavy endoscopic equipment.
Working with brilliant scientists and engineers, Dr. Akervall developed a guard that was both protective and comfortable. We did see a potential market, based on our customer demand and that's how we came about developing SOVA.

Great affordable option
Easy to customise to fit your teeth!
Just don’t use boiling water or it will become floppy… I fished mine out on reading the instructions more carefully it was only in that for like 10 seconds if that…and it is fine.
The first night it’s a bit clunky but the heat of your mouth and your bite helps it settle into place.
I showed it to my oral surgeon and he was impressed.
Well worth the money I wish I had known about it sooner! (Posted on )

The plastic setting is too hard/ tight
I bought this thinking it be a soft texture, like more jelly than what it is. I can’t wear it, I can not get the fit right due to it setting and hardening too tight. I don’t put much pressure on it when I am setting it to my teeth but every time I tried and thought I had it, it became so hard and tight once it was fully set.
I can not wear it for fear of my teeth moving.
I think it’s probably something everyone should go to the dear for and get a proper solution. (Posted on )
