The Benefits of Alpaca Fleece:

The fleece of the alpaca is of an outstanding quality. Unlike sheep’s wool, it is very clean and naturally contains no lanolin, so it doesn’t require chemical processing. Alpaca fleece is also semi-hollow, giving it a unique, lightweight feel as well as superior thermal performance.

Alpaca fleece in its natural state is allergy-free and luxuriously soft, producing a beautiful handle and drape to bedding products filled with this material. In addition, alpaca fleece is moisture absorbent, which allows bedding to remain warm in the winter, and cool in the summer.

Originally from South America, legend states that alpacas were a gift to the ancient Inca peoples, and the fleece of this prized animal was reserved for the royal family. Today, alpaca fleece is among the rarest and most desired animal fibres in the world.

Alpacas were commercially imported into Australia beginning 30 years ago, and have adapted well to the climate and the geography. The population of these beautiful, intelligent animals in Australia today number approximately 125,000. Hard and high

Based on other reviews I purchased the Low Profile pillow as I am Petite. However it is still quite high and half as high again as my current latex pillow :( Plus it feels hard after a few moments of laying on it. So so disappointed plus not to mention the $$$ (Posted on 9/1/21 )

Great pillow!

The alpaca wool turns out to be a great solution for my allergies, I feel my lungs ‘lifting’ after having a latex pillow for years.
That was the only pillow ever that was soft enough- ist pillows are very high, but finally this pillow combines all: a nice low and soft profile for back sleeping, and no allergens. I absolutely love it. (Posted on 3/20/21 )

Very comfy to sleep on

I like the bounce back of this pillow; it doesn't sag into nothingness overnight and feels lovely and supportive. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because I feel like it's quite a high loft even though it's a mid loft that I purchased. I don't know if this helps anybody but I'm a petite 5 foot 4 lady so if that's you as well, then I'd definitely recommend you stick with either the low or mid loft at the most. It is a superbly made pillow; you can see the quality and craftsmanship and I like the ethics of alpaca fleece being sustainable and cruelty free. (Posted on 12/3/19 )

So far so good

Took 3 nights to get used to it now I have been sleeping very deep sleep best in years. Was sleeping on latex prior and found my sleep was not deep and was interrupted felt like my brain was squashed. I am in a very hard situation I am a naturally big muscular bloke very thick heavy neck i need my head to be elevated otherwise i have sleep apnea issues. At the same time the pillow has to be comfortable yet supportive this were latex falls short it either to firm or to soft and does not conform tho the shape of my head constantly puts pressure on it through out the night. Comfy but wish it is more fluffier

I've been looking for big, high pillow, fluffy which craddles my head but not shinking in it too much to give enough support to the neck for years. This pillow is almost it.
I wish it is more fluffier but it has very good distribution and doesn't bunddled up as explained in the promo video. I have been using this pillow nightly, still have to flip it and plump it back during the night but overall still comfy, much better than the rest that I've tried in 7 years of my pillow quest. I bought the high profile. The height is perfect for me, as a side sleeper, the pillow height is the same height as my shoulder to the neck, perfect height to support my neck and head. I wish I could order a tailored made one for extra fluffiness. So far, I'm keeping mine and waiting to buy high profile extra fluffy one if it will be on offer by Kelly and Windsor OptiFill Alpaca. Heaven after a LOOOOOOONG search
