How to use

Setting the clock:

To set the clock, press the SET TIME button once, which will then show SET TIME on the display.
Press the volume UP/DOWN buttons on side of the machine to adjust the time. Press and hold the volume buttons for rapid up and down. When you reach your desired time, press the SET TIME button.
"PM" or "AM" is visible in the upper right corner.

Adjusting the Brightness:

To adjust the brightness level when your unit is plugged in, press and hold down the SE button.
There are 5 brightness levels. Level 1 is Off - Level 5 is brightest.
When you hold down the button it cycle between the 5 levels.
Let go of the button when your reach the desired level.

Battery Powered or Mains Powered

Mains Powered

The S-680-01 comes with a USB cable and USB power adaptor. When the unit is plugged in, it will draw no power from any batteries that you may have installed in the BATTERY COMPARTMENT. If a power outage occurs, the unit will automatically switch over to battery power.

Battery Powered

On battery power, it uses 4 "AA" batteries (batteries not included). You could also use rechargeable "AA" batteries with the unit - but you would need to buy a separate battery charger to recharge these batteries.

This is incredible and also has the option to be on an endless loop. Many stop after 30/ 60/ 90mins.
I can’t understand why you would want more sounds though!!! There are bountiful options. Has made falling asleep so much easier during the colder months for someone who has always struggled with getting to sleep and wakeful nights. good features, very poor time setting function

This product has some good features, but the system for setting the time and the alarm is ridiculous. You have to spool through the hours minute by minute, with no capacity to set hours and minutes separately and that is incredibly frustrating, time-consuming and annoying. It is a deterrent to ever changing the alarm set time. They don't use basic technology that has been available in alarm clocks for 40 years and they clearly don't take any notice of feedback from customers because all of the feedback mentions how annoying the time setting function is. Effective

My husband and I live in an inner city apartment where night-time noise levels can make sleeping difficult. He bought me a Sound Oasis for my birthday a few years ago and it really helps with getting to sleep, through relaxation as well as masking noise. There are so many sounds to choose from that we have no trouble finding a few that suit us both. This Christmas we bought a Sound Oasis for our one-year-old great niece. There are far more nature sounds to choose from than ones designed just for children. We don't know if the sounds on her machine are different from ours, but one suggestion is to have a distant surf sound that provides an alternative to the numerous versions of surf that involve water trickling onto the shore. Terrific

The different sounds are great I’ve settled for the ocean completely relaxing.
Only issue was the plug wasn’t a normal plug not for Australia had to change it and also
the light of the clock is too bright, I have to unplug the system otherwise I struggle to sleep which defeats the purpose.

Brilliant

Great for tinnitus

I love my Sound Oasis. This is my second one after I left my original one interstate at the start of last year.
It helps me to not hear the ringing in my ears when I sleep.

Sound quality is great

I like the relaxation noises the best, wish there was more of them, rather than so many of the white noise or surf noises that the original card has on it. I was going to order a new card so went through all the noises took a fair bit of time to get 12 different sounds, there is so many that seem to be exactly the same, then on the last page the price came up, $60 AUD for 12 noises I nearly fell over so I backed away from the new card very quickly. One significant flaw

I really like this product, in fact I have purchased three of these over time. However, there is one serious design flaw. Darkness is another component which impacts on sleep quality, and your room will never be dark with one of these plugged into your mains. That's because the amount of light emitting from the LED clock is so strong (even on the lowest setting) that it completely illuminates your bedroom. Therefore the first thing I have to do whenever I get a new one of these is to cover the clock reading with thick duct tape. It shouldn't be like this!

Helps my daughter fall asleep and stay asleep.

My 11 year old daughter has had problems with sleeping and was waking up tired, stressed, unable to concentrate ar school and cranky! She has a few sounds on the machine that she prefers more than other's and by the time that I go into her room to say goodnight, she is sound asleep. After a good sleep, my daughter is happy, engaging, concentrating well and much more pleasant to be around! Sound quality is poor and the product is overpriced for what it is. It can be bought overseas for half the price.
