Excellent product, excellent customer service and very fast delivery. I will say, however, that I find the headhand too hot at the moment. This can't really be helped. But if you tend to run hot or get hot flushes, consider this.

What Is a Latex Pillow?
Latex pillows are made from the sap of rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis), whipped into foam and baked into shape. The result is a naturally springy, supportive material that bounces back instantly when you move - very different from the slow, “sinking” feel of memory foam. You rest on a latex pillow rather than in it.

Latex is naturally resistant to dust mites, mould, and bacteria - making it one of the best pillow choices for allergy and asthma sufferers. Talalay vs Standard (Dunlop) Latex
There are two manufacturing processes used to make latex foam, and they produce noticeably different results. Both start with natural rubber tree sap, but the way the foam is set determines its feel and performance.
Talalay Process
Softer, More Consistent, More Breathable
The premium option for a plush, airy feel
The Talalay process adds an extra vacuum-sealing and flash-freezing step before the foam is baked. This creates a more uniform, open-cell structure throughout the pillow - meaning more consistent support from edge to edge, better airflow, and a softer, more “plush” feel at any given firmness level.
Talalay latex is also less dense than Dunlop latex, so pillows feel lighter in the hand. The downside: it’s more expensive to manufacture.

Standard (Dunlop) Process
Denser, Firmer, More Affordable
Excellent value with a solid, supportive feel
The original method - liquid latex is poured into a mould and baked. Natural sediment settles slightly during curing, creating a denser bottom and slightly softer top. The result is a firmer, heavier pillow with excellent durability.
Standard Dunlop latex is still a premium material - it just has a denser, more “solid” feel compared to Talalay. It’s also typically more affordable.

Which should you choose?
If you want the softest, most breathable latex experience and don't mind paying more, go Talalay (the Dunlopillo Luxurious Latex range). If you prefer firmer support or are budget-conscious, standard Dunlop-process latex is excellent value.
What Is Ventilated (Pincore) Latex?
Most latex pillows - including the entire Dunlopillo Luxurious Latex range and all Dreamaker latex pillows - feature a “pincore” design: hundreds of small cylindrical holes moulded into the foam during manufacturing. These aren’t defects - they’re deliberately engineered for two reasons.
The Pincore Design Explained
First, the holes create channels for air to flow through the pillow, dramatically improving ventilation compared to solid foam. This is a big part of why latex sleeps so much cooler than memory foam.
Second, the holes allow different zones of the pillow to compress more easily, making the surface feel softer and more responsive without reducing overall support. Some manufacturers vary the size and density of the pinholes across the pillow to create firmer support in the neck zone and softer cushioning under the head.

Best for: Hot sleepers who want latex support with extra cooling.

Caring for Your Latex Pillow
Latex is low-maintenance but there are a few rules to follow to get the best lifespan from your pillow.
Air Before First Use
New latex pillows can have a mild natural rubber scent. This is normal and usually fades within a few days of airing. It’s much milder than memory foam off-gassing.
Never Machine Wash
Water and agitation can break down the cell structure. If the core needs cleaning, hand wash gently in lukewarm water with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and press (don’t wring) excess water out.
Avoid Sun & Tumble Dryer
Never tumble dry or expose to direct sunlight - UV degrades latex over time. Dry flat in the shade if hand washed.
Wash the Cover Regularly
Most latex pillows come with a removable, machine-washable cover. Clean this regularly. Air the pillow in a ventilated room once a month.
Use a Protector
