Easy Peasy - filter arrived on time.
I purchased the Wireless Bluetooth Headband. Frustrating from first use fiddling around with the control panel and the cabled buds inside the band. After just a few uses the control unit wouldn't charge as advertised (inside the band). Troubleshooting suggested removing from the band, did this but still would not charge. Contacted sleep solutions, sent them a short video of the charging error lights. Despite the product being less than 2 months old they sent me a pre-paid consignment note, to send the control panel & charging pad back to them - I was instructed to include a detailed explanation of the problem and of course my contact details. They would investigate and come back to me. I was also to ensure the product was packaged in a manner to prevent damage. What they should have done, given the age of the product is apologise and sent me a replacement. Unit is useless, I'll throw it out.
Quick delivery and great communication. Sound machine works perfectly for my daughters room
Bought online, after 9 days of having no notice about shipping I emailed them and only then they sent the package. It's been two weeks and I still haven't been delivered.
Easy to order quick delivery and very happy with product.
Item deliverd fast
Excellent product, excellent customer service and very fast delivery. I will say, however, that I find the headhand too hot at the moment. This can't really be helped. But if you tend to run hot or get hot flushes, consider this.
We couldn't believe how fast the electric blankets got here from Sydney. Just 3 days by Australia post to Toowoomba. The products have all the features we wanted as well.
Tencel (branded lyocell fibre) is derived from the wood pulp of sustainably managed eucalyptus trees using a closed-loop production process that recovers over 99% of the solvent used. As a quilt fill, Tencel delivers a combination of properties that few other materials can match: higher thermal insulation than wool and down, moisture management 50% more efficient than cotton, and a naturally antibacterial fibre structure that resists dust mites without chemical treatment.
The result is a quilt that is lightweight, breathable, allergy-friendly, and genuinely effective across all seasons. For a broader comparison of all quilt materials and GSM weights, see the Australian Quilt Buying Guide.
Six reasons Tencel quilts outperform conventional bedding — hover each card to explore
Tencel fibre traps air efficiently within its structure, providing warmth with significantly less weight and bulk than traditional fills — including wool and down
Tencel's nanofibril structure contains microscopic channels that absorb perspiration from the skin and transport it into the fibre core, then release it back into the air — keeping the sleep surface dry all night
Because moisture is absorbed into the fibre rather than sitting on the surface, bacteria cannot grow. The hypoallergenic property is inherent to the fibre and doesn't wash out
Bambi Tencel quilts carry the National Asthma Council Australia's Blue Butterfly seal, independently verifying suitability for allergy and asthma sufferers
Tencel quilts are very lightweight with virtually no loft — they drape close to the body without a heavy, bulky feel, similar to a high-quality down quilt but in a plant-based fibre
Eucalyptus requires up to 20x less water than cotton to cultivate. The closed-loop manufacturing process recycles both water and solvents. Tencel fibre is fully biodegradable
Sensitive Choice certified. Bambi Tencel quilts are approved by the National Asthma Council Australia's Sensitive Choice program. This is not a marketing claim — it's an independent assessment confirming suitability for people with asthma and allergies.
| Product | Fill | GSM Options | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bambi 100% Tencel Quilt | 100% Tencel fibre fill with 100% cotton cover | 300 GSM (summer/all-season), 500 GSM (winter) | The core Tencel quilt — maximum Tencel performance. Australian-made. Sensitive Choice approved. Best option for hot sleepers, allergy sufferers, and those wanting full Tencel benefit |
| Bambi Advanta Natural Tencel & Goose Down Quilt | 30% Tencel / 70% Down (80% down, 20% feather) | All-season weight | A hybrid that combines goose down's plump loft with Tencel's breathability and cooling. For those who want the luxurious feel of a down quilt with added temperature regulation |
| Couples Dual Zone Tencel Quilt | 100% Tencel fibre fill with cotton cover | Summer: 150 / 250 GSM sides. Winter: 350 / 500 GSM sides | Couples with different temperature preferences. One half is warmer, the other cooler — a single quilt with two warmth zones. Available in summer and winter weights |
| Bambi 100% Tencel Long Single Quilt with Quilt Cover | 100% Tencel fibre fill. Includes matching Tencel quilt cover | All-season weight | Split king and adjustable beds. The bundled Tencel quilt cover uses press studs to prevent sagging and evenly distribute warmth |
The Couples Dual Zone Tencel Quilt has a different GSM fill on each side — one half warmer, the other cooler. It's a single quilt that looks and feels like a normal quilt, but solves the common problem of couples with mismatched sleep temperatures.
Available in Queen, King, and Super King. Also available as a dual zone quilt in other materials including Ingeo corn fibre.
GSM (grams per square metre) indicates fill density. Tencel quilts feel warmer per GSM than most other fills due to the fibre's superior thermal insulation — a 300 GSM Tencel quilt provides warmth comparable to heavier quilts in cotton or microfibre.
A note on warmth expectations: Tencel quilts are very lightweight with virtually no loft — they feel thinner and denser than a traditional fluffy doona. Customer reviews consistently note that the quilt feels lighter than expected but still provides genuine warmth. This "warmth without weight" is a defining characteristic of Tencel. If the sensation of a heavy, lofty quilt is important to the sleeping experience, consider the feather and down or wool ranges instead.
| Bed Size | Quilt Dimensions (approx) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Single | 140 x 210 cm | Children's beds and standard single beds |
| Long Single | 140 x 220 cm | Adjustable beds and split king halves. Bambi Tencel available in Long Single with matching quilt cover |
| Double | 180 x 210 cm | Less common in newer homes |
| Queen | 210 x 210 cm | The most common Australian bed size |
| King | 245 x 210 cm | King beds. Also used across split king beds for a unified look |
| Super King | 270 x 240 cm | The largest standard size — generous drape |
For maximum temperature regulation and allergy protection across the entire sleep surface, Tencel bedding is available in every layer. Select a layer below to explore:
The layer directly against the skin. Smooth, cool, and 50% better moisture management than cotton — Tencel's nanofibril structure keeps the sleep surface consistently dry all night.
Shop Tencel SheetsMaintains the breathability chain between the sleeper and the quilt fill. A cotton-polyester cover over a Tencel quilt reduces the moisture-wicking benefit at the surface — a Tencel cover preserves the full performance.
Shop Quilt CoversAllergy and waterproof protection with Tencel's cooling surface. Prevents heat build-up from the mattress without sacrificing the breathability that defines a Tencel sleep system.
Shop Mattress ProtectorsThe same Sensitive Choice approved protection for pillows — completing the full Tencel sleep system from mattress to quilt. Keeps pillow fill hygienic and the surface consistently cool from head to toe.
Shop Pillow ProtectorsUsing Tencel across every layer ensures consistent temperature regulation and moisture management from mattress to quilt — no single layer undermines the cooling and breathability performance of the others.

Tencel quilts are highly regarded for their unique combination of comfort, durability, and eco-friendliness. They offer several advantages that contribute to their popularity:
In addition to these features, Tencel is a sustainable material derived from eucalyptus trees, which require less water and no pesticides to grow compared to other fibre-producing plants. The production process for Tencel uses a closed-loop system that recycles water and reuses solvents, further enhancing its eco-friendly profile. Tencel quilts are also durable and easy to care for, making them a practical choice for everyday use. They are hypoallergenic, making them suitable for those with sensitive skin or allergies. However, like all bedding, the comfort of a Tencel quilt can depend on individual preferences and the specific design and quality of the quilt. As such, it's advisable to select a Tencel quilt from a reputable brand and ensure it meets your specific needs for warmth, comfort, and care requirements.
Both Tencel and bamboo quilts are popular for their comfort, durability, and eco-friendliness. However, they have some differences that might influence your choice. Let's compare these two materials:
Both Tencel and bamboo quilts are hypoallergenic, making them suitable for people with allergies or sensitive skin. They are also durable and easy to care for, providing long-lasting use. In terms of aesthetics, both materials drape well and have a lustrous sheen, adding a touch of luxury to your bedding. While both fabrics have similar characteristics, your choice between a Tencel or bamboo quilt may come down to personal preference for feel and sustainability considerations. It's also worth considering the quality of the quilt's construction, as well as the brand reputation, to ensure you choose a product that will provide the comfort and durability you expect.
Tencel quilts are considered hypoallergenic and allergy-friendly due to a few specific properties of the Tencel fabric. Here's what contributes to their hypoallergenic nature:
In addition to these features, the production process for Tencel uses non-toxic solvents and is designed to recycle water and re-use the solvents in a closed-loop system. This results in a fabric that is free from harmful substances that could potentially cause allergies. Moreover, Tencel quilts are soft, breathable, and thermally regulating, adding to their overall comfort and health benefits. However, it's always a good idea to wash new Tencel quilts before use to remove any potential residues from the manufacturing process. In conclusion, with their smooth fibre structure, moisture management, and clean production process, Tencel quilts offer a hypoallergenic option for bedding that is not only comfortable but also eco-friendly.
Yes — with the right GSM. The Bambi 100% Tencel Quilt in 500 GSM and the Couples Dual Zone winter weight (350/500 GSM) are designed for winter use. Tencel fibre has higher thermal insulation per gram than wool and down, so a 500 GSM Tencel quilt provides genuine winter warmth despite feeling lighter than a traditional winter doona. In very cold climates, layering with a wool blanket provides extra insulation.
Tencel quilts have virtually no loft — the fill is dense and close-draping rather than fluffy and puffed. This is a feature, not a deficiency: the fibre's insulating efficiency means it doesn't need bulk to deliver warmth. Customer reviews consistently describe Tencel quilts as "thinner than expected but surprisingly warm." If the sensation of a thick, lofty quilt is important, feather and down quilts provide that fluffy feel.
Yes. Place the electric blanket on the mattress (under the fitted sheet or mattress protector), then the Tencel quilt on top as normal. Do not place the electric blanket on top of or inside the quilt. Tencel's moisture-wicking properties complement electric blankets well — the blanket adds warmth from below while the quilt regulates moisture from above.
Yes. Sleep Solutions is a registered NDIS provider. Tencel quilts are available in long single sizes for adjustable beds commonly used in NDIS-funded setups. The hypoallergenic and machine-washable properties are particularly relevant for disability-related sleep and continence management. Contact the sleep specialists team for assistance with NDIS orders.
